The First Bar
This elegant Roppongi bar and lounge is the perfect place to party in Tokyo, with drink specials that are especially popular with women. Kagaya
There are some things in life that just have to be experienced to be believed. Like fearing for your scalp as anÊovergrown Kermit the frog leapfrogs over your head, or drinking nihonshu from what looks like a Grecian fountain of a naked boy peeing. Thankfully-at least for those inclined to such experiences-we have Kagaya. Or perhaps we should say, we have Mark Kagaya. This one-man tour de force has taken a slice of Shinbashi and turned it into his own theater of the absurd. So when we needed some inspiration for our next Halloween costume, he seemed like just the man to turn to.

Colourful multi-purpose cavern in Roppongi with tinsel walls and twinkling ceilings that light up like Christmas trees even in July. Bar staff and management wear weird costumes and play the fool but they get serious over cocktails from margaritas to martinis. DJs play retro tunes, paintings of past patrons hang on the walls and the more refined order pricey Cuban cigars and sit back and watch. Make it your castle.
Propaganda
Seems like every city has a drinking den called Propaganda and Tokyo's in on the act with this shot bar in Roppongi. You get cool techno vibes with your vodka or tequila slammers and the clientele is a lively mix of hard drinking regulars and hedonistic party people who get going late. There's no cover charge which is a bonus in the Big T and if you make it before 9pm drinks are half price. If you don't know what to order the staff will recharge you with the latest specials.
